Nebraska offensive coordinator Troy Walters said it was good for the Huskers to practice outdoors in cold weather yesterday in case that’s something that NU will have to deal with on Saturday at Purdue.

Walters admitted his unit could be performing better this season in the red zone.  “In this league, when you get down in the red zone, inside the 20, you’ve got to score,” Walters said. “You know, we’ve had some struggles at the kicking position.  So, we’ve got to take it in our own hands (on offense) and instead of settling for field goals, we’ve got to go and score touchdowns.”

Saturday’s kickoff is set for 11 a.m.  The pre-game starts at 6 on News Talk 900 KJSK and will be joined at 10:30 on KLIR 101.
