Two Area Coaches Among State Finalists for National Honor

Two area coaches are among 12 coaches and an athletic director in Nebraska who are finalists for a national coach of the year award.
Scott Polacek, girls basketball coach at Howells-Dodge and Darin Garfield, Central City’s wrestling coach are among the finalists from Nebraska.
Eight finalists from across the nation in 19 sports will be honored during the National Coach of the Year Awards Banquet in Lincoln on July 27th. And a national coach of the year in each of the 19 sports will be named.
