Thursday’s High School Soccer Results

In high school soccer Thursday, the Columbus High girls posted a 6-0 road victory over Lincoln High. 

Abby Haynes had two goals and an assist, while Charli Preister scored twice for the Discoverers.  CHS improved to 7-3.  The Columbus boys were in a 1-1 tie at Norfolk going into a shootout, which the Discoverers won 4-3 to move to 7-2. 

Both Lakeview soccer clubs lost their opening match in the Central Conference tournament at Schuyler.  The Vikings girls fell to Lexington 9-1, slipping to 1-6 on the year.  The Lakeview boys were blanked by the Minutemen 10-0, as the Vikings fell to 0-7. 

The Schuyler girls got by Aurora 1-0, while the Warriors boys blasted Seward 10-0.
