Snowy Forecast Forces Holiday Tourney Schedule Changes
With snow in the forecast, the schedules for the Columbus and David City Holiday Tournaments have been changed, with both tourneys pushed back a day to start on Wednesday.
The Columbus tournament at Lakeview will be aired on KLIR 101. On Wednesday, Scotus takes on Twin River in a girls/boys doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. Lakeview battles Schuyler in a twinbill beginning with the girls contest at 5 p.m.
Thursday’s championship games will be broadcast on KLIR, with the girls playing at 2 p.m. and the boys at 4 o’clock.
The David City event on Wednesday has Aquinas facing Palmyra in a girls/boys doubleheader starting at noon, followed by David City taking on DC West in a twinbill beginning at 4 p.m.
This year’s event does not have a championship format, so Thursday’s matchups are already set. Aquinas meets DC West in girls/boys games at noon, with David City facing Palmyra for a pair of contests starting at 4 p.m.
All games will be aired on 93.5 The Hawk.
