Scotus Girls’ Season Ends, Other Area Subdistrict Scores

Trailing 28-14 late in the third quarter, the Scotus girls’ basketball team rallied to within one point of St. Paul late in the final period.  But, the Wildcats scored the final four points of last night’s C1-8 subdistrict final to escape with a 38-33 victory.

Shamrocks junior Kamryn Chohon scored all of her team-high ten points in the fourth quarter.  But, St. Paul’s Olivia Poppert scored a game-high 14 points and made her last six free throw attempts.

The Wildcats head to the district finals at 22-2 and have won 15 in a row, a streak that has been bookended by wins over Scotus.  The Shamrocks finish with an 11-12 record.
