Rhule on First Spring Practice, Grant and Hill Suspended

Following the Nebraska football team’s first spring practice Monday, coach Matt Rhule called the Huskers “a very coachable team.”

He said all the players knew their assignments, calling that a great start.  Rhule also thought NU’s quarterbacks threw the ball well on a windy day.

He also announced the team opened spring practice without running back Anthony Grant.  The Huskers’ leading rusher last season is suspended indefinitely to work on academics and other issues.  Rhule said receiver and return man Tommi Hill also is suspended.  He did not specify a reason.
