Results For Area Legion Junior Teams in State Tourneys

Central City/Fullerton went 0-2 in the American Legion Class B Junior state tournament.  In Saturday’s opening round, Central City was downed by Pierce 6-3.  That was followed by a 12-3 loss to Chadron yesterday. 

In the Class C Junior state tourney, Wisner-Pilger/Howells-Dodge also lost its first two games.  On Saturday, it was a 10-2 loss to Yutan, which was followed yesterday by an 8-5 defeat to host club, Pender. 

Palmer-Wolbach-Greeley is still alive in the Class C tournament.  PWG was edged by Lincoln Christian 4-3 on Saturday, but got by Imperial 3-2 on Sunday.  PWG plays Centura DCB today at 4 p.m. in an elimination game as both teams are 1-1.
