Report Lists Three Top Candidates for NU’s Next Football Coach

A report lists three coaches as “high” on the list to be Nebraska’s next football coach.
Iowa State coach Matt Campbell, Lance Leipold of Kansas and Alabama offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien are those three, according to The Athletic’s Bruce Feldman.
The Omaha World-Herald reports that the Cyclones’ Campbell would have been a top candidate if NU had fired Scott Frost last season. Leipold has connections to both the Huskers and UNO when the Mavericks had a football program. O’Brien was Penn State’s head coach in 2012 and 2013.
