Columbus High’s volleyball club opened its season on its home court by edging Fremont 3-2 last night. 

Scores were 22-25, 27-25, 20-25, 25-22 and 15-13.  Addi Johnson, Ayla Janssen and Ellie Thompson each had 12 kills for the Discoverers.  Carly Gaedeke led CHS with three service aces and 22 digs. 

Scotus fell in four sets at Kearney Catholic in the Shamrocks’ lid-lifter. 

Scores were 15-25, 17-25, 25-19, 19-25.  Larkyn Mahoney led Scotus with six kills, while Mahoney and Joanna Rusher each had four blocks.
