Omaha Native Transfers From Purdue to Husker Softball

The Nebraska softball team today added Purdue transfer Bella Bacon.

The rising sophomore infielder is an Omaha native.  Bacon spent her freshman season with the Boilermakers and has three years of eligibility remaining.  She appeared in 26 games for Purdue last season, making six starts.  She hit .250, going 8-for-32 with five RBI.

Bacon was a two-time Super State selection at Millard West.  She earned Class A first-team all-state honors in 2020 and was named to the second team in 2021.
