NU’s Virtual Spring Game Offered Real Excitement

It may not have been real, but Nebraska football’s virtual Red-White spring game played online Saturday was exciting.
Despite being down 57-41 with 3 minutes left, the White team of Husker legends rallied to defeat the Red 60-57 in overtime. Quarterback Eric Crouch wound up being the hero of the simulated game, taking that honor away from Red team signal-caller Tommie Frazier with the late rally.
NU’s athletic department said over 20,000 people watched the game on Facebook, Twitter and Twitch.
