NU Women’s Rally Falls Short at Indiana

A late rally by the Nebraska women’s basketball club fell short in a 72-65 loss at Indiana last night.
The Huskers trailed the sixth-ranked Hoosiers by 17 points midway through the third quarter before getting within 68-65 with 24 seconds left. But Indiana sank four free throws down the stretch. Alexis Markowski led Nebraska with 17 points and Jaz Shelley added 15.
The loss dropped NU to 13-3 overall and 2-3 in the Big Ten. The Huskers travel to Iowa on Sunday.
