NU Women Upset Iowa, Put Clark’s Record on Hold
The Nebraska women’s basketball team knocked off No. 2 Iowa on Sunday and denied Caitlin Clark the NCAA women’s career scoring record.
The Huskers rallied from a 14-point deficit in the fourth quarter for an 82-79 victory at Pinnacle Bank Arena. A court-storming followed NU’s first win over a Top 25 opponent this season.
Clark scored 31 points but missed her final six shots and was scoreless in the final period. She needs eight points to break the record, which will likely happen Thursday in Iowa City against Michigan.
