NU Softball Falls in Opener, Jordy Bahl Injured

Not only did Nebraska’s softball team suffer an 8-0 season-opening loss in five innings to Washington on Thursday, but Husker starter Jordy Bahl was injured.

Bahl landed awkwardly after delivering a pitch in the third inning and limped off the field.  The junior transfer from Oklahoma suffered just the third loss of her career in 47 decisions after giving up three runs over 2.1 innings.

The 18th-ranked Huskers are playing two more games today in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
