NCAA Extends Recruiting Dead Period to May 31
The NCAA has announced a recruiting dead period has been extended from April 15 to May 31.
That means Division I and II football and basketball programs will be relying on virtual recruiting by phone and social media for at least two more months.
The dead period, which prohibits in-person visits by recruits and coaches, is a measure to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
In-person recruiting was shut down on March 13, not long after the cancellation of all winter and spring sports.
