Motz’ Titans Win As Boys State Hoops Tourney Opens

In the Class B boys state basketball tourney, number 1 seed Norris beat Blair 62-46 yesterday. The Titans, in their first season with former Columbus High coach Jimmy Motz at the helm, will face Elkhorn in Friday’s semifinals.

The Antlers knocked off Platteview 63-48 yesterday.

In Tuesday’s Class A quarterfinals top-seeded Millard North downed Millard South 73-46, Millard West edged Lincoln Pius X 47-45, Bellevue West beat Lincoln East 55-47 and Prep topped Papillion-La Vista South 64-56.
