Nebraska athletics tweeted yesterday that Saturday’s virtual spring football game reached over 1.2 million people online.  Speaking on Sports Nightly last night, athletic director Bill Moos called that incredible.

“We challenged our people to have some fun with these type of things,” Moss said on the show which aired on News Talk 900 KJSK.

“It’s kind of the talk of the country right now and I couldn’t be more proud of our folks and the great, great innovative approach they had to this.”

Moos added that “during these difficult times it was something to brighten the day and something that we’ll be talking about for a long time.”
