Martinez To Miss Iowa Game With Shoulder Injury

Nebraska quarterback Adrian Martinez will miss Friday’s season finale against Iowa.
Coach Scott Frost said yesterday that Martinez suffered a shoulder injury in the first half last Saturday at Wisconsin. “He is such a tough kid,” Frost said. “I did not expect him to play in the second half and he came up to me right before the second half kickoff and said he wanted to go. He played well…played tough.”
Redshirt freshman Logan Smothers will make his first start Friday. Frost said Heinrich Haarberg could also play.
