Lubick Praises Robinson, Warner on Sports Nightly

Nebraska’s new offensive coordinator and receivers coach Matt Lubick was upbeat about the Huskers receivers on Sports Nightly last night.  The show is aired on News Talk 900 KJSK.

Lubick agreed that NU’s receiver position doesn’t have a lot of experience, but added he “loved the talent” he saw on the field for three days before spring practice was halted by COVID-19.

Lubick noted it’s “very rare” for a freshman like Wan’Dale Robinson to have played running back and receiver last season.  He also praised Robinson for his leadership ability, saying the Paul Hornung Award candidate has “driven our group and made them better by the way he works and being vocal about it.”

And Lubick said he hasn’t met a more mature player in 25 seasons coaching than junior receiver Kade Warner.
