Following yesterday’s practice, Nebraska offensive coordinator Matt Lubick said the Huskers are more experienced this year and “feel like we are better prepared than we were last year at this time.”
Senior quarterback Adrian Martinez was asked recently if nerves are still a factor at his age going into Saturday’s opener at Illinois. “I’ve got nerves, I’ve got the butterflies. I’m pumped,” Martinez admitted. But, he said since he was a kid he wanted to play big-time football and be in “these type of atmospheres.”
