Lakeview Seniors Win Again, Columbus Seniors Fall

In American Legion baseball, the Bank of the Valley Lakeview Seniors posted a 9-1 home win over Tekamah-Herman last night. 

Sam Kwapnioski and Layne Forney each drove in two runs and scored once, while Kolby Blaser scored three runs for Lakeview.  Bank of the Valley improved to 8-0 and has outscored its opponents 86-16. 

Lakeview’s Seniors will host Schuyler tonight.  First pitch is set for 7 p.m. at Pawnee Park Field.  Also last night, the Cornerstone Insurance Group Columbus Seniors finished a game at Hastings that was suspended by rain on May 26th.  Cornerstone was edged 5-4, falling to 6-6 on the season.
