Lakeview Seniors End Wild Night With Walkoff Win

The Bank of the Valley Lakeview Seniors won a wild back-and-forth game over Hooper-Scribner at Pawnee Park Field.  Last night’s contest was tied at 12-all going into the bottom of the seventh when Lakeview scored the winning run to claim a 13-12 walk-off victory.

The Seniors had scored four runs in the sixth inning to take a 12-7 lead, only to give up five runs to the visitors in the top of the seventh.

The Bank of the Valley’s Evan Tessendorf had a game-high three RBI.  Lakeview scored in every inning, including four runs in the first to open the slugfest.

The Seniors are now 6-5.  They’ll next play, along with the undefeated Owens Wealth Advisors Lakeview Junior Reds, at Tekamah-Herman tomorrow.

Only Bank of the Valley will be in action on Saturday, when the Seniors host O’Neill in a doubleheader.  First pitch of Saturday’s opening game is set for 3:30 p.m.
