Kalkbrenner Tabbed Big East Defensive POY

Creighton’s Ryan Kalkbrenner has been named the Big East Defensive Player of the Year.
The sophomore center earned the award after a vote of league coaches. Kalkbrenner leads the conference with 80 blocked shots, which ranks 10th nationally.
He’s also sixth in the Big East with eight rebounds per conference game.
