The Columbus United Federal Credit Union Junior Blues used terrific pitching to sweep a home doubleheader last night.
The Junior Blues stifled a Grand Island reserve team by scores of 9-1 and 4-0.
Connor Rausch got the win in the opener, pitching four scoreless innings and striking out four. Ryan Eickhoff tossed a seven-inning complete game gem with 13 strikeouts in the nightcap.
The Junior Blues will take a 5-7 record into a three-day tournament at Bellevue East that begins this Friday.
