The Nebraska football team lost one running back and gained another on Tuesday.

Senior Dedrick Mills announced on social media that he will focus on professional football rather than take advantage of another college season due to COVID-19.  In two seasons at NU, Mills had 227 carries for 1,141 yards and 13 touchdowns.

The Huskers immediately addressed Mills moving on by getting Markese Stepp, who is transferring from Southern California.  He appeared in five of the Trojans’ six games last season, gaining 165 yards on 45 carries and scoring three touchdowns.

Stepp was a four-star prospect coming out of high school in Indianapolis in 2018.
