Nebraska and the other 13 Big Ten football teams will each play a ten-game conference-only schedule this season.  The conference released its new schedule today.

The Huskers will play the other six teams in the West division and will meet East division clubs Rutgers, Ohio State, Penn State and Michigan State.   Nebraska will still open the season on September 5th, but it will be a road game at Rutgers rather than a home contest against Purdue, as originally scheduled.

The Huskers’ home opener will be on September 12th against Illinois.  Other home games at Memorial Stadium include September 19th against Wisconsin, October 3rd vs. Minnesota, October 31st against Penn State and the regular-season finale on November 21st – but against Michigan State, not Iowa.  NU will play the Hawkeyes in Iowa City on September 26th.

The Big Ten Championship Game is still set for December 5th, but could be held as late as the 19th.

Nebraska’s athletic department says it is working with government and health officials to finalize plans for game days at Memorial Stadium.  NU says it will announce ticket plans in the near future.
