Husker Women Hoops Wins Season Lid Lifter

The Nebraska women’s basketball club opened its season yesterday with a 68-46 victory over Alabama A&M at Pinnacle Bank Arena. 

Hannah Whitish scored 12 points on four 3-pointers to lead four Huskers in double figures. Kate Cain added 10 points, seven rebounds and a game-high eight blocked shots for NU. 

Nebraska returns to action on Sunday at Missouri.
