Husker Football Players Receive Warm Reception in Dublin

The Big Red has landed on the Emerald Isle.  The Nebraska football team must have felt right at home when arriving at the airport in Dublin, Ireland yesterday.

Greg Sharpe described the scene from Dublin last night on Sports Nightly.  “There was a t0n of Husker fans and they started Go Big Red chants,” Sharpe said.  “I know the team felt like, wow this is really cool.”

Also on last night’s show on News Talk 900 KJSK, former Husker Jeremiah Sirles admitted he has no idea what new offensive coordinator Mark Whipple’s offense will look like, but we should all get a good idea within 25 plays.  “Everyone scripts your first 25 plays, college, NFL, everyone,” Sirles said. “That will be very telling of what this offense is going to look like going forward because those 25 plays should be the best 25 plays that they’ve practiced from spring to fall camp, into the game day.”

Saturday’s opponent, Northwestern, is due to arrive in Ireland today.  Saturday’s kickoff is set for 11:30 a.m.  The pregame show starts at 7:30 a.m. on KJSK.  It will be joined at 11 a.m. on 93.5 The Hawk.
