Frost Not Stepping Away From Offense Despite Whipple Hire

Nebraska football coach Scott Frost praised his team for good leadership and toughness during the Big Ten Media Days yesterday in Indianapolis.

Frost was asked how he feels about “stepping away” and putting the Huskers offense in the hands of new offensive coordinator Mark Whipple.   “Stepping away is the wrong way to put it,” Frost replied.  “I’m going to still have my hand in it.  It’s going to be a fun collaboration with somebody else that knows a lot of football.  When I’m not around the offense, I’m going to be able to trust him to take care of it so I can do other things.”

Frost and the Nebraska players were back at Memorial Stadium yesterday evening to sign autographs and talk with fans at the annual Fan Day.  NU will hold its first fall practice today.
