Former Husker Meyers Makes Houston’s ALDS Roster

Former Husker Jake Meyers has made the Houston Astros’ roster for the American League Divisional Series.

The Astros announced their 26-man roster this morning, prior to this afternoon’s opening game of the five-game series against the Seattle Mariners.  Meyers hit .227 with a home run and 15 RBI in 52 games with the Astros this season.

He played in the first four games of last season’s ALDS against the White Sox, before a postseason-ending injury shut him down.  He started this season on a rehab assignment with the Triple-A Sugar Land Space Cowboys, before he returned to the Astros in August.

The Omaha native was Houston’s 13th round pick in the 2017 MLB Draft.
