Nebraska’s new special teams coordinator Ed Foley was a guest on Tuesday’s Sports Nightly on News Talk 900 KJSK.
Foley was asked about his philosophy on special teams. “We want to be very aggressive,” Foley said. “We want to be fast. We want to be physical. And we want to be simple so that the kids…have the opportunity to go make plays.”
Foley’s association with head coach Matt Rhule goes back to the 2008 through 2010 seasons, when both were assistant coaches at Temple. The Philadelphia native also coached with Rhule at Baylor and for the Carolina Panthers.
