St. Francis claimed a 24-16 victory over Falls City Sacred Heart in last night’s D2 semifinals in Humphrey.

In a game heard on KLIR 101, Flyers quarterback Trevor Pfeiffer ran for 159 yards and two touchdowns and threw for 119 yards and two more scores.  He also had an interception to help his team stay unbeaten at 12-0.    

In next Monday’s championship, St. Francis will meet Pleasanton, which beat Overton 12-6 last night.  Kickoff at Memorial Stadium is set for 2:45 p.m. and you can hear the game on KLIR.

In last night’s D1 semifinals, Osceola-High Plains edged Cross County 34-30 in a thriller aired on 93.5 The Hawk. 

The Cougars season ended with a 7-5 record, while the Stormdogs will take a 10-2 mark into next Monday’s championship.  Their opponent will be Burwell, a 28-10 winner over Dundy County-Stratton last night. 

Kickoff is set for 10:15 a.m. at Memorial Stadium and the game will be broadcast on The Hawk.
