Expert Ranks NU Football’s 2020 Schedule as Fifth-Hardest

College football expert Phil Steele says Nebraska’s 2020 schedule is the toughest in the Big Ten and fifth-hardest nationally. 

In his story on espn.com, Steele lists Purdue as having the second-hardest slate in the conference and number 9 in the country. 

In 2020, the Huskers are scheduled to play eight teams that went to bowl games last season.  Six of NU’s opponents earned a Top 25 final ranking. 

The Big Ten team with the easiest schedule in Steele’s rankings is Illinois, with the Illini’s  slate tied for 72nd-hardest in the nation.
