CU Baseball Picked to Repeat as Big East Champs

The Creighton baseball team has been picked to repeat as Big East champions next year. 

The Bluejays narrowly edged out Seton Hall, St. John’s and Xavier as each of those three clubs tied for second in the coaches’ poll. 

Two CU players, DH Ryan Mantle and outfielder Jared Wegner, were named to the Preseason All-Big East Team.

Last season Creighton was the league’s regular season and tournament champions.  The Jays went 41-13 overall, 14-4 in the conference, and reached the NCAA Regional Final.
