Creighton Women’s Soccer Tops Missouri State in Exhibtion

Powered by goals from Ansley Atkinson and Renee Pountney, the Creigthon women’s soccer club edged Missouri State 2-1 in an exhibition match yesterday in Kansas City.
The Lady Bears took an early lead with a goal in the 17th minute, before Atkinson fielded a pass from Cristian Garriga in the 42nd minute and scored. The game-winning, unassisted goal came from Pountney in the 50th minute.
The Bluejays’ regular season and home opener is next Thursday against Montana.
