Both of Columbus’ American Legion baseball teams suffered losses at Grand Island last night.

The Cornerstone Insurance Group Seniors were downed 7-5.  Columbus was leading 2-1 going to the bottom of the third inning when Home Federal scored three runs.  G.I. added another three-spot in the fourth to lead 7-2.  Cornerstone rallied for two runs in the fifth and one in the sixth, but saw its five-game winning streak end.  Columbus slipped to 5-2 on the season.

The Junior Blues, who had been held to one run in each of their first two games, banged out 10 hits in a 13-7 loss.  Charlie Larson had two hits and a pair of RBI, but the Juniors dropped to 0-3.

Lincoln North Star will visit Pawnee Park Legion Field today.  First pitch for the Junior Blues game is set for 5 p.m., with the Seniors contest to start around 7:30.
