Columbus Goes 1-1 in Day 1 of HAC Baseball Tourney

Columbus High’s baseball team went 1-1 yesterday during the first day of the HAC tournament in Lincoln.  

In their first game against Lincoln Northeast, the Discoverers blew a 4-0 lead by allowing four runs in the top of the seventh.  But, CHS scored a run in the bottom of the inning for a walk-off win.  Brent Beard went 2-for-4 with one RBI and three runs for Columbus.

In the second game, the Discoverers were no-hit in a 4-0 loss to Lincoln Pius X.  The Discoverers are 10-9 on the season.
