Columbus Clubs Top Hastings on Hardwood

The Columbus High basketball teams both secured home wins over Hastings on Saturday.

Tadan Bell scored 16 points, Sam Kwapnioski had 15 and Ashton LaPointe added 11 as the Discoverers boys beat the Tigers 61-50.  The win snapped a three-game losing streak and upped Columbus’ record to 4-10.

The CHS girls won their second straight game in as many days.  The Discoverers’ 48-23 victory over Hastings followed a 52-28 win Friday at Grand Island, which snapped a five-game losing skid.  The girls are now 5-9.

Both Columbus clubs will host Norfolk Thursday night in games you can hear on KLIR 101.
