Both of Columbus’ American Legion baseball teams defeated York at Pawnee Park Field last Friday. 

Cornerstone Insurance Group Columbus Seniors starter Trevor Schumacher gave up one run over six innings in a 7-1 win.  Sawyer Kimberling had two hits and two RBI as Cornerstone improved to 16-6 on the season. 

In the first game, the  One United Federal Credit Union Junior Blues downed York 16-5 in five innings.  Quenton Gustafson was 3-for-3 with four RBI and Matthew Kinnison had three hits and drove in two runs. The Junior Blues are 8-16 and visit Gretna this evening.
