CHS Hoops Teams Split vs. Griffins, Host Links Friday on KLIR

Columbus High’s basketball clubs split a pair of home games against Gretna East Thursday. 

Tanner Esch scored 17 points to lead the Discoverers boys to a 51-49 victory over the Griffins.  The second straight win for CHS upped its record to 3-12. 

The Columbus girls were shaded 46-42 in overtime.  The Discoverers led 32-27 entering the fourth quarter, but Gretna East rallied to tie it 37-all at the end of regulation, then outscored CHS 9-5 in the extra period.  Columbus is now 7-8. 

Both Discoverers teams host Lincoln High tonight.  You can hear the action on KLIR 101, starting with the girls game at 5:30 p.m.
