CHS Has as Many Errors as Hits in Loss to Kearney

Columbus High’s baseball team was downed by Kearney 5-3 in a sloppy defensive game Monday.  The Discoverers and Bearcats both committed four errors in the contest at Pawnee Park Field.

Two days after being held to one hit in the second game of a doubleheader against Lincoln East, Columbus managed just four hits off three Kearney pitchers.  On the mound for CHS, Jack Faust and Trevor Schumacher combined to allow just one earned run, while issuing two walks and striking out nine.

The Discoverers’ third straight loss dropped them to 4-5.  They’ll host Norris on Thursday.
