CHS Basketball Teams Fall to Millard West in Lid-Lifters
Columbus High’s basketball clubs opened their seasons at home last night.
The Discoverers boys fell to Millard West 54-47 in overtime, while the CHS girls bowed to the Wildcats 57-38.
The Columbus boys led 43-37 in the fourth quarter, but Millard West scored the final six points in regulation, then outscored the Discoverers 11-4 in the extra period. Griffin Micek scored 11 points to lead Columbus.
In the girls game, the Wildcats led wire-to-wire. Jordyn Trotta hit five 3-pointers to lead CHS with 15 points.
