CHS Baseball, Soccer Clubs Slated to Start Seasons Today

Columbus High’s baseball team is scheduled to play its first game for coach John Riedmiller today.
He took over for Jimmy Johnson after last season. The Discoverers are slated to host Maroon Cup rival Norfolk. It’s a 4:30 p.m. first pitch at Pawnee Park. You can hear the action on KLIR 101.
The CHS soccer clubs are also set to open their seasons today. The boys visit Lincoln North Star, while the girls host Lincoln Southwest at 5 p.m. at Columbus High’s turf field.
