Childress is NU Baseball’s Director of Player Development

Nebraska baseball coach Will Bolt has hired Rob Childress as the program’s director of player development.
Childress is familiar to Husker fans, as he served as an assistant coach at NU from 1998 through 2002 and as associate head coach from 2003 through 2005.
He spent the last 16 seasons as head coach at Texas A&M. He led the Aggies to the NCAA Tournament a school-record 13 consecutive times from 2007 through 2019, including a pair of trips to the College World Series in 2011 and 2017.
In his new role at NU, Childress will oversee the personal and athletic development of Husker baseball players.
