Boys State Golf Results From Tuesday

Brock Kuhlman of Columbus High is vying for a medal at the Class A state tournament. 

Kuhlman shot a 3-over par 75 in yesterday’s opening round at Norfolk Country Club.  Entering today’s final round, he was in a five-way tie for 10th. 

In the Class C tournament at Kearney, Scotus led the team standings by six strokes over second-place Aquinas.  The Monarchs were led by Jaylin Jakub, who was in second and just two strokes off the lead after firing a 3-over 74.  Nick Fleming of Scotus carded an 8-over 79, good for seventh. 

Jack Lubischer of St. Francis shot a 9-over 81 in the Class D tourney at North Platte, earning him a tie for seventh.  In the team standings, Shelby-Rising City was 13th out of 15 clubs. 

The Class B event is being hosted by Elks Country Club.  Mount Michael Benedictine led Skutt by eight strokes in the team standings.  The Knights were led by Luke Gutschewski who fired a 1-under 71 and led the tourney by three strokes.
