Nebraska defensive lineman Ben Stille is one of 199 semifinalists for the Campbell Trophy.

The annual award recognizes the top football scholar-athlete in the nation.  Two Huskers have won the award: Rob Zatechka in 1994 and Kyle Vanden Bosch in 2000.

Meantime, former NU All-America linebacker and current NFL All-Pro Lavonte David was named yesterday as the NFC Defensive Player of the Month for September.

David has helped Tampa Bay to a 2-1 record by posting 24 tackles, two of them for losses, and had one interception and one fumble recovery.

Since entering the NFL in 2012, David leads the league with 15 fumble recoveries.
