Frost Wants To See Efficiency From Huskers’ Offense Tomorrow

Thirty years after beating Kansas State in Tokyo, Nebraska’s football team plays its second international game tomorrow.  The Huskers open their season against Northwestern in Dublin, Ireland.

Following yesterday’s practice, NU coach Scott Frost called the trip a good experience for players, but added “they’re dialed in and ready to play.”  With a new offensive coordinator and four new offensive assistants, Frost was asked what he wants to see out of that unit tomorrow.

“I just want to see efficiency,” Frost said. “It really doesn’t matter what offense you’re running, if you run it well it can work.  The key to that is just operating with efficiency and speed.”

Meanwhile, Northwestern coach Pat Fitzgerald hasn’t named the Wildcats starting quarterback.  Kickoff is set for 11:30 a.m.  The pregame starts at 7:30 a.m. on News Talk 900 KJSK.  It will be joined at 11:00 on 93.5 The Hawk.
