Women’s Basketball: NU, CU Both Win on Sunday

In college women’s hoops, Nebraska and Creighton both posted wins on Sunday. 

The Huskers pulled away down the stretch for a 64-51 victory over Idaho State at Pinnacle Bank Arena.  NU improved to 2-0.  Nebraska opens Big Ten play by entertaining Illinois on Thursday. 

Meanwhile, Creighton’s women cruised to an 88-41 romp at Butler.  In winning their Big East opener, the Bluejays upped their season mark to 1-3.  CU next plays a week from today, when the Jays host Nebraska.
