White Expects to See “New Stuff” From Northwestern Offense

Nebraska’s football team hosts Northwestern on Saturday and, like the Huskers, the Wildcats are coming off a bye week.

Because of that, defensive coordinator Tony White was asked if he expects to see the “kitchen sink” from Northwestern’s offense.  He says offenses try new things early in every game, so the Huskers will have to adjust to those plays which they did very well in the win at Illinois.

“You can see that they (the Wildcats) have a shift or a game plan of how they want to move and explode,” White said.  “We call them explosions where they start off in one formation and then they’ll explode into another formation….so we’ll see a whole bunch of new from stuff from them.”

Saturday’s kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m.  The pregame starts at 10:30 a.m. on News Talk 900 KJSK and at 2 p.m. on 93.5 The Hawk.
