Weekend Wrestling Recap Highlighted by Lakeview Wins

In prep wrestling, Columbus High finished fourth out of 16 teams competing in the UNK Midwest Duals last Friday. The Discoverers won three of five matches.
Lakeview won last Friday’s Madison Invite. The Vikings compiled 242.5 points to finish 24.5 points ahead of Boone Central. Lakeview’s Andon Stenger, Owen Bargen, Brock Mahoney and Landon Ternus won gold medals.
On Saturday, the Lakeview girls won the Neligh-Oakdale Invite. The Vikings topped the 10-team field with 62 points. Lacy Lemburg and Makiaya DeLaCruz won their weight divisions.
And in Saturday’s Centennial Conference wrestling meet, Aquinas took first place, while Scotus was 10th out of eleven squads.
